This year is the 800th anniversary of Leipzig’s St. Thomas Choir. Part of the celebration includes a new documentary, which has recently become available on DVD. I’m not certain which is more fantastic—that the chorus has been around for 800 years, or that for 27 years the church cantor was Johann Sebastian Bach. A bit of both I suspect.
I haven’t seen it yet, but I’ve been looking forward to it since I heard about it last year.
