    For the first time I realize how similar are Faber’s and Steinway’s history — the origins of the firm in Germany, a branch of the family remaining in the motherland while another one moved in the USA to develop the same activity there, complex links between the German and the American company, family quarrels, rivalry, confusion with the use of the same brand name, lawsuits…

    Love those Grip pencils. Except I found out the hard way, once, that those little dots melt when you leave them for a few hours in a car in the summer heat. Can’t wait to see what you post!

    Faber Castell’s USA headquarters are 20 minutes from my house. I’ve never been, but I think it’s just offices and a distribution center.
