This small cardboard pouch contains three Faber-Castell pencils marking 1996 as the company’s 235th anniversary, as well as 700th anniversary of the founding of Stein:
As the imprint on the black pencil indicates, the three colors are those of the city of Stein:
The pencils are dyed black and come factory-sharpened:
I wonder how many anniversaries have been celebrated in this way. Some have been more auspicious, such as the 100th, 150th, and 250th, etc. Others have marked the in-between years, such as the 222nd, and 235th, etc. Even if it’s just an item for employees and friends I wonder if there isn’t a small commemorative item issued every year.
That would be an interesting list to research: Starting with the 100th anniversary, an inventory of each anniversary product along with a drawing or photo.
